What is Australian Study visa?

Australian study visa helps you to stay in Australia as long as you want to study there.

As of July 1st 2016, new notifications and guidelines have been issued by Simplified Student Visa Framework (SSVF) related to Australian Student Visa.

According to the Department of Immigration and Border Protection, all international students planning to study in Australia are now required to apply for a visa under Subclass 500 and this effectively combines the erstwhile subclasses 571 – 576 into one.

Upcoming intakes in Australia

There are only 2 intakes in Australian universities each year and those are:

• Intake 1: extends from February/ early march to late may/early July
• Intake 2: Extend from July/early August to November.

The best thing for Indian students is to prepare for the first intake as that is the main time for Indian Students.

Documentary proof required

These are the basic documentations required while applying for Australian Visa

• The Electronic Confirmation of Enrolment as proof of admission into a college or university.
• A valid passport.
• Your visa application fee.
• Your GTE (Genuine Temporary Entrant) statement.
• Academic and work experience documents.
• Evidence of financial ability to meet expenses like tuition fees, living expenses, living costs for dependents, and return airfare.
• Details of OSHCC health insurance policy. itinerary
• Statement of purpose.
• Passport-size photographs.

If you are below 18 years, then your parental consent will also be required.
